Today I am saying goodbye to a piece of my heart. Yesterday Mat and I found that our dog Jake will not live through the weekend. A few months ago he tore his nail bed while running. Since then it got infected causing an autoimmune disease and decrease in his platelets. This heart wrenching news has been killing me inside. Everytime I look at him I start crying wishing I could reverse this terrible news. But, in time our hearts will heal and the pain will ease, till then goodbye to the best dog, friend and family.
